Renault Clio Sport 172 LOW MILEAGE 44k

Up for sale is my low mileage 172 (with FSH) which i have owned for 2 years now. When i first brought this car it was on 41000 miles and needed a cambelt, which i have fitted myself (qualified technician) with the correct locking tools, i changed engine oil and filter and gearbox oil at the same time (41223 miles). Also fitted was a new alternator belt. Since then in April 2018 i changed the oil and filter again on 43500 miles. The car is now on 44165 The only things the car has that is an extra is a cup spoiler which in my opinion makes the back look alot better. It has a stainless exhaust system fitted with no visible tip showing, so no one would know. It also has a Pure Motorsport rear anti roll bar which is a good handling mod for these cars, 40mm lowering springs fitted (originals will come with the car) and has Brembo High Carbon discs with ferodo ds2500 pads on the front. The bodywork on the car is clean but by no means showroom condition. Its has a couple of small marks on it which are pictured (Small dent in roof in reflection of the airel and one on the passengers rear quater) It has been waxoiled underneath to keep the corrosion at bay. Wheel arches have always been cleaned and mud removed by rear arches to not give it a chance to rot. The interior is clean and tidy with no rips/tears and has never been smoked in. I have almost every peice of paper, mots & invoices since the was was first purchased through to present. This is the perfect chance to own a low mileage clean car. RenaultSport Clio 172 ph1 rust free, track ready

2001 RenaultSport Clio 172 ph1. 105k genuine mileage. Purchased with intention to make into a very capable track car but after having owned Clio’s for years I’m considering venturing into other options so this one is up for sale to help fund new plans. I’ve owned it just over the year and never tracked it myself. Purchased from someone who intended to break it for parts after assuming an oil pressure warning light meant a failed engine. The general condition of the car is far too good given its age to break so I purchased the project off him with plans to replace a dead engine. After a little investigating it was apparent the oil pressure switch was faulty, once replaced the light extinguished and I had a very healthy F4R with no untoward noises or smoke and doesn’t burn oil etc, in fact pulls very strong but I’ve always found the ph1s to be quicker. Also worth noting no dephaser knock. Going on from there the usual corrosion was found behind the offside rear side skirt so a decision was made to replace the engine outer sill in the process cutting and replacing any rotten metal out. After this was done we dropped all major components from the underside and applied thick coats of under seal to protect from any future rust. Structurally the car is rust free and protected well into the future. The interior was removed, a 6 point bolt in roll cage installed along with two fixed bucket seats and 6 point aircraft buckle harnesses. The above work was all installed with high tensile fixings and FIA approved spreader plates. The dash was the removed, passenger airbag deleted and blanked off before flocking to prevent sun glare. After fixing some other mechanical issues up like washer jets, CV boot and dash warning lights it was presented for mot and passed with no advisories. Unfortunately shortly after I broke my right hand and following a long recovery the car was parked up all summer and subsequently sorn’d over last winter. As it stands the car has been freshly serviced with Fuchs Titan S 5w-40. It sits on Turbine alloys with good tread Yokohama tyres. The wheels are not spotless but all straight and true. The bodywork shows it’s age with the odd dent and scratch but overall is very presentable. The car has a small rattle which has recently developed I suspect it to be the heat shield that mounts to the steering rack come loose as they often do. Unfortunately no history was provided with the car and i don’t have a date of the last cambelt. Car currently has a valid mot but is sorn. Clio 172 Cup – rebuilt 187bhp engine, Caged, buckets, GAZ coilovers, DS2500s

CLIO 172 CUP You are bidding on a track prepared Clio 172 Cup. It’s currently undergoing preparation for sale. Engine wise it’s made 187bhp on the dyno, with video proof. The engine was rebuilt around 5k ago. I don’t have the paperwork for this but you can see the engine is fresh and painted etc. Chassis wise it’s got Gaz coilovers, brembo grooved/drilled discs and DS2500 track pads. It’s also had a full geometry setup with reciept. Interior wise it’s got a cage, bucket seats, harnesses, an upgraded shifter, upgraded steering wheel and a relocated battery. Body wise it’s got the usual marks and scuffs from being used on track, but no major damage Mileage is around 130k and the car is HPI clear with proof. It’s currently undergoing preparation for sale, including a service, a clean and a full MOT. It will be ready in the next few weeks. In the meantime, the first deposit will hold it. Renault Clio 172, SPARES OR REPAIR, Suspected Clutch Issue, NO RESERVE!!!!!!

CLIO 172 SPARES OR REPAIRS – NO RESERVE!! SUSPECTED CLUTCH ISSUE Ideal track car or with some work it would make a tidy road car again. The battery is flat but starts with a jump no issue, engine sounds fantastic. Currently the car won’t go into gear, suspected clutch issue. There are a few marks here and there around the car with the worst being a dent in the nsr quarter but overall a presentable car, wheels are also kerbed. No discounts given upon collection as seems to the norm to ask these days – feel free to view to view before auction end. Previously the car had a claim against back in 2012 making it a CAT D vehicle.

2002 Renault Clio 172 2.0 16v

Renault Clio 172 2002 with approximately 110000 miles. Great little car which is stacks of fun to drive, I bought the Clio with the intention to do a couple of track days but unfortunately never got round to it. The car is ready to drive and it completely road legal with a long Mot till Aug 2019. The body work does have some age related marks but nothing significant or requiring attention. The worst of these items is the dent in the centre of the bonnet and some rust on the right hand rear wheel arch, the rust has been rubbed back and treated to stop it spreading further. Ive cut the rear bumper back slightly as the vehicle did have a tow bar which has now been removed, it might not be to everyones taste luckily rear bumpers are very cheap to buy off eBay. I have carried out a number of mechanical items which were required meaning no money will need spending on it before being able to get it out on track. Recent work carried out.
