Think I’ll regret this, but I need the space, so it’s time to let my Clio 172 Cup go. Getting so rare these days, in this completely standard condition! Only 75k miles, with 5 previous owners to me.MOT until 22nd March 2019. V5 present.4 correct tyes, the Continental SportContact3, all with loads of tread depth, and recent date stamps, the front ones were changed in Mar-18! Loads of service history, with receipts for all of the following: Just had £635 spent on stripping down the cylinder head to fit new valve stem seats, which included a full service, compression test, new gaskets, NGK irridium spark plugs. The reason for the work, the garage believed, was because a previous owner had used the wrong petrol – these run best on 97 or higher octane unleaded petrol. In Feb-17 £1,200 was spent at RenTec for Cambelt, Waterpump and Dephaser replacement, at 72k miles. This also included things like handbrake cables, brake pressure regulator, rear discs and pads, brake fluid change and a new rear wiper! A thorough going over from one of the most reputable Renaultsport specialists around. 4 new injectors in Feb-17.New battery in Jul-17.New exhaust back box in Sept-17 and new middle section exhaust in Jun-16 Prior to that, £630 spent on full replacement of heater matrix and associated pipes, in Jul-16. You’ll see on the MOT history that the nearside rear damper had an advisory, slight misting of oil. Both sides at the rear have been replaced last month, with genuine Renaultsport CUP items, with receipts. One upgrade to mention: I’ve purchased a newly trimmed original Clio 172 Cup steering wheel, in leather, with blue stitching, costing £200. The last one had the usual melting plastic, so a real worthwhile upgrade. See pics. Overall condition is fantastic, just the usual marks from 75k miles, and a little paint bubble on the bottom rear quarter (which you can see on the 3rd to last pic, near the rear wheel). I’m happy to send you close up pics of the bodywork etc before you come and see the car.Interior is very clean, no rips or tears, and all original including the stereo.Sometimes, at higher revs, the speedo swings upwards towards 120mph, so it might need a new speedo cable. This is only at high revs, and the speedo is stable and accurate during normal driving. I have all the original books and manuals, in the Renault leather wallet – including the correct radio code! I’ll need proof of insurance for test drives. Thanks for lookingMartyn07825 314452
