The car was built from a road car by Stock Hatch winner and Clio 182 Championship front runner Martin Ward and in his hands was always in the top ten and at times near the sharp end. Looking stunning in white, underneath the car is Blue as shown on the V5 which comes with the car (registration DX04 FHJ). The engine is strong and keeps up with the pack. Cam belt was changed at the beginning of this year as well as a reconditioned gear box, alternator, ABS pump and power steering pump very recently. There is lots of meat left on the brake pads running Carbon Lorane RC6 with the standard pattern Brembo disks. The seat and belts are good until 2022. It has a standard fuel tank and weighs 1,000kg without fuel or driver. The car is fully 750 Motor Club Clio 182 Championship ready except for the additional door bars required to meet the enhanced regulations stipulated by the club. The cage is MSA compliant and can compete in other championships without modification. For the asking price I will have the door bar added to make it fully 750mc championship compliant as well has have JJ Performance support the car over the first race weekend. The car was raced during July in the Classic Sports Car Club Tin Tops Series, entering Class B. Given the car is virtually standard (as per the 750mc Championship rules), the field was full of lighter and more powerful cars. The car qualified P18/33 overall and P3/7 in class. During the race the quickest lap time was a 57.4 and due to some poor pit stop decisions by the driver (me), finished P15/24 and P3/4 in class. The pace in the car was good for P10 overall and P2 in class. The last time the 750mc Championship raced at Brands Hatch, the pace would have put the car inside the top 10. Other series and championships the car is eligible for include the Track Attack Tricolore series, 750mc Road Sports, Club Enduro & Hot Hatch, MSVR Trackday Trophy & Championship and many more. The car comes as shown with no spares or parts but ready to race with a new set of fresh rubber and some fuel. The car is not “as new” or even that expected of a reasonable road car. It has some scrapes and knocks which is consistent with the normal ruff and tumble of a tin top race car. There is paint which doesn’t quite colour match, some vinyl covering up some scrapes and chips and marks consistent with rubbing. The car is presentable and will pass muster with any scrutineer or club steward. Car located at www.jjperformance.co.uk and can be viewed at Fleet Marston, just north west of Aylesbury.
